The island of Asinara is a paradise for nature lovers. There, it is easy to spot white donkeys, migratory birds, Sardinian deer, and even some rare marine species. You may get to the island via ferry departing from the port of Stintino or Porto Torres, but you can also book private boat, catamaran or sailboat excursions. The island was closed to the public from 1885 to the late 1990s and has a fascinating history as a former agricultural colony, high-security prison, and now protected marine area.
L'isola dell'Asinara è un paradiso per gli amanti della natura. Sarà facile avvistare asini bianchi, uccelli migratori, cervi sardi, e anche alcune specie marine rare. L'accesso all'isola avviene tramite traghetti che partono dal porto di Stintino o da Porto Torres, ma è possibile prenotare escursioni private in barca, catamarano o veliero. L'isola è rimasta chiusa al pubblico dal 1885 alla fine degli anni '90 e ha una storia affascinante come colonia agricola, carcere di massima sicurezza, ed ora area marina protetta.

Castelsardo is famous for its historic center and the artisan shops selling ceramics and typical items. The medieval walls are well-preserved and offer a unique view of the coast and the harbour. Built in the 12th century on the top of a hill, the Doria Castle is the perfect sunset spot, and houses a museum with archaeological artifacts that tell the story of the town.
Castelsardo è un borgo famoso per il suo centro storico e per le botteghe di artigiani che vendono ceramiche e oggetti tipici.
